Reminder prolongation 2023
This message is a reminder of the Board for plant varieties that the closing date for applications for prolongation for the registration of plant varieties is 31 December 2023.
Reminder prolongation 2023
This year it concerns the varieties of vegetable- and agricultural crops listed in 2008, 2009 and 2015. Meanwhile it is also possible to apply for prolongation for all potato-, and sugarbeet varieties older than 2008.
Applications for prolongation received after this closing date will not be processed and will enter the ‘varieties into the deletion’ procedure.

Proposed fees 2027
The fees of the Board for Plant Varieties are determined annually by the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries, Food Security and Nature. The fee proposals are jointly prepared by Naktuinbouw and the Board for Plant Varieties.
This announcement concerns the proposed application fees for Plant Breeders’ Rights and Variety Listing, as well as DUS testing, for 2027.
