The crop 'kale' belongs to 'Brassica oleracea convar. acephala' and is (again) subject to registration in the Netherlands.

NB: the crop 'kale' in the EU common catalogue only concerns 'kale' and not the other kales.

Harmonization of Technical Questionnaires (TQs)

The Board for plant varieties has been working with CPVO for some time on the harmonization of Technical Questionnaires (TQs). The objective is to make as many CPVO and the Board for plant varieties TQs as possible identical on a one-to-one basis. This harmonisation will make it easier for applicants to submit either a national application or a CPVO application, as the information can simply be copied from one application to the other. Recently, a number of additional TQs have been harmonized.

Revised submission conditions courgette and various cabbage crops

The submission requirements for applications for the granting of Plant Breeders' Rights and/or admission for courgette (trailing and non-trailing), white cabbage, cauliflower, kale, savoy cabbage and kohlrabi have changed.
